Black on Black on Turquoise

Shop the look:

When in doubt, wear all black. Really, isn’t that like everyone’s motto? You can’t ever go wrong in my opinion. I’ve shared my love of turquoise before, too so adding this subtle choker was the perfect way to throw in a little bit of color. I built this outfit starting from the shoes up. Surely I’m not the only who builds an outfit around a new clothing item they are excited about? I wanted to wear these shoes because I had just gotten them in and paired them with this fun slip skirt. It comes in multiple colors and is so multi purpose. Plus, super comfortable and flattering. I added a light black sweater, the necklace, a white clutch for a somewhat springy vibe, and my favorite round sunnies. Such a classic, easy black on black outfit, yet the strappy lace up shoes and the detail on the skirt give it a fun spin.

The black sweater I linked comes in TWELVE colors and you’ve gotta see this necklace. It’s one of two pieces that make up one gorgeous statement necklace at a great price. This envelope clutch is my go-to always and comes in several colors as well. Plus, it’s under $100!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw that I teamed up with DSW (one of my favs!) to talk about how the right shoes can make or break my day. I just saw online that they are giving you $10 for you next purchase on every $75 or more purchase online with no code needed. Okaaaaay! Like I need more of a reason to buy shoes. These are available online in 4 other colors now! Plus, they might be one of my most comfortable heels. It’s gotta be the block heel, but I continue to be shocked at how easy it is to walk around in them all day.

Is this up and down weather getting to anyone else? I feel like I’ve had a “getting sick” feeling for two or three weeks now. I’m blaming it on the weather, but it also just might be that I am exhausted, y’all. I definitely need to take some time to just relax this weekend. I really struggle between that and getting caught up on my to-do list though. What are your favorite ways to force yourself into some R&R time? Maybe I just need to splurge on a massage and facial day!

Did any of you see on my Instagram the other night where I was researching The Master Cleanse? It’s the cleanse (aka basically a fast) that Beyonce did when losing weight quickly for Dream Girls. Yolanda Foster of RHOBH and Gigi Hadid are known to do it as well. Gigi realllllly spoke to me when she said she would rather do that for a week or ten days than eat only salad for 6 months. Girl after my own heart! Since I don’t currently have any exciting Spring Break plans (insert crying emoji here), I’m thinking I could use this time to test it out as a pre-wedding option. I figure I can lay in bed and watch tv with minimal energy and not worry about yelling at anyone because I’m hangry. Haha! If anyone has done it and has any insight– I would love to know your thoughts!

Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. Cheers to Thursday, y’all! XO
