Galentines Day

With Valentine’s Day just a little over a week away, I thought it’d be the perfect time to team up with some fellow Dallas bloggers for a fun Galentines Day shoot. We all have such different styles and plans for the big day that we each wanted to showcase that and share it with our readers and followers. I’ll be sharing a little about each of these girls below.

As for my Valentine’s Day plans, I’ll be spending the night with my fiancé. This time of year is his busy season and he is often working wayy past dinner time, so having him home ‘early’ will be great. We are going to enjoy some red wine and eat at one of our favorite Italian spots. Our first nice date was at an Italian restaurant with the same chef and we always gravitate towards one of them for our date nights. Italian is my favorite and it’s becoming even more special because we’ll be getting married in Italy this summer. We aren’t usually big on “things” for gifts but usually just do little thoughtful things for each other and celebrate over wine, cheese, and Italian.

The Italian restaurant we’ll be going to is the same one I just ate at to celebrate the end of my January Whole 30. If you’re following along with me on my Instagram stories then you probably saw all the delicious homemade pastas. It’s one of the best! Starting today through Valentine’s Day I’ll be trying to stick to mostly healthy eating (basically Whole 30 but with agave, honey, and maple syrup added back in). Anyone else need a detox after Superbowl Sunday? I know I ALWAYS do. So. Much. Cheese. My main reasons for watching this year will be the commercials, halftime show, and allll the food. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big football fan, but the Cowboys are my team and my heart is still slightly broken after our playoff loss.

Okay, back to Valentine’s Day. As much as I love my neutrals, I do often love to wear red or burgundy. I’m super picky about anything in the pink family, so felt red is a safer option. I saw this lace dress (which comes in several colors.. stay tuned for another that I got) and loved it. Its super comfortable and totally versatile. I would dress this down for a night out with a leather jacket and booties. If you’re traveling, it looks great with sandals. Or, if you want to wear it for a wedding or date night, it pairs perfectly with heels and a clutch as I styled it here.

I chose to pair it with white accessories to keep it light and bright, but it also looks great with black. For sizing reference, I am wearing the small but it was too big on me. I definitely needed the XS. A little blogging behind the scenes for you– we had to clip this dress in three places to make it fit me better!

A little bit about each of these precious Dallas bloggers is below. One of my favorite parts about blogging is all the incredible, supportive women I have met who I otherwise wouldn’t. There are so many bloggers in Dallas and it’s so fun getting to know them and and supporting one another!

From Left to Right its: Morgan from Style on Edge // Me // Anna from Fleurdille // Amanda from Glitter and Spice // Cameron from Cameron Proffitt // Nita from Next with Nita

Morgan from Style on Edge

Morgan is as sweet as she is beautiful. Her style is dark and edgy. She can seriously pull off anything. I mean, look at those adorable bangs! Morgan is an Arkansas girl, so since I went to college there we have some mutual friends which is so fun. Morgan just got engaged over the holidays and is busy wedding planning like I am.

Anna from Fleurdille

Anna is the queen of neutrals. Her style is the perfect combination of flirty and feminine. Anna is the mother of two adorable little girls. Fun fact: her husband and I actually went to high school together, which we randomly figured out one night talking.

Amanda from Glitter and Spice

Amanda is the single girl of our bunch and she is always keeping us laughing with her stories. Her style is dressy with preppy and bling touches. She’s almost always wearing something pink or navy, or a combination of the two.  Amanda can also often be found in a ball gown or anything with ruffles or feminine touches.

Cameron from Cameron Proffitt

Cameron is a show stopper and is an absolute sweetheart. Her style is fun, flirty, and eclectic. She loves incorporating the latest trends with classic pieces to keep things fresh, yet chic. I mean look at this amazing clutch? What I wouldn’t give for her height, too. Cameron just got married this past year and made the most beautiful bride.

Nita from Next with Nita

Nita is a doll. Her style is girly with modern and trendy touches. Nita loves adding a pop of color and mixing fancy with casual. She also loves to be comfortable and relatable! Nita is another  fellow bride-to-be blogger babe.

Click through to each of their pages to shop their outfits. Everything we wore are such good price points and these outfits can be worn so many different ways and for different occasions. Each of the girls are sharing their Valentine’s Day plans on their posts too! Be sure to add them all on Instagram and follow along with them. I’m linking each of their pages here: Morgan // Anna // Amanda // Cameron // Nita

I hope whatever your plans that you have a wonderful day full of love (and chocolate and wine). Hopefully this post gave you a little Galentine’s or Valentine’s outfit inspiration. XO
