I had a WWCBW moment when styling this top. I started thinking about throwing on a black bralette underneath and wondered if that’s how I should style it. Then I thought, “What would Carrie Bradshaw wear?” She would so approve of this little combo, so I just went with it. I paired this white sheer top and black lace bralette with these high waisted jeans so I didn’t feel like my entire stomach was exposed. If the black under the white is too much for you, this top also comes in black to make the contrast a little more subtle. I love this combo though, especially when paired with black heels, a black bag, and dark lensed sunnies. I wore simple, layered gold jewelry to keep it a little understated, but still well accessorized. I LOVE this for a Summer date night out. This top is so breezy and light, it’s perfect for this time of year. It looks adorable with denim cut offs and sneakers or flat sandals, too. You can also wear it to work with a cami top underneath and pair it with black pants or a black skirt.

This pair of heels is one of my favorites. This style is almost the same, but the heel is just a tiny bit shorter. They both come in SO many colors and are a great price point- the ones I am wearing are under $100 and the other style I linked is right around $120. I especially love how dang comfortable these heels are. The thicker heel gives considerably more support which means I can wear them for hours without being miserable. I love pairing them with this classic chain bag that also comes in a ton of colors. It’s just a classic style and I love the size of it because I can still fit sunglasses and a few other items in it to wear day or night.

Just before we left for Italy I rewatched the whole Sex and the City series and both movies (ugh, the tragedy that was movie number two) for the fifteenth-ish time. Charles laughs at me so much because I love rewatching the same few tv shows over and over again. Really, I love the characters and the shows, but mostly I enjoy having something on in the background while I’m working or doing stuff around the house that is entertaining and provides background noise, without me having to be glued to in order to know what is going on. Rewatching this series always makes me want to be a little more daring with some of my outfits. This fringe dress was another great example of a Carrie inspired outfit. I love drawing fashion inspo from television characters, old photographers, and of course, everyday style spotted on the street or by my favorite people to follow along with on Instagram. I love having sources of inspiration, because I think we’ve all been there when we look in our closets and think that we have nothing to wear.

As I’m sure you know from some of last week’s posts and from Instagram, I just got married and am off on my honeymoon right now and I am sure I’m having the most amazing time exploring the Amalfi Coast and soon, Greece. Don’t worry, I prewrote and scheduled all of these posts so I can enjoy myself and our vacation, but still ensure that you have new content to hopefully inspire you here on the blog. I hope that you all are having an amazing week as well! XO
